A blind dating event is a meetup where you arrive with almost no homework. Not 40 photos. Not a dissected bio. Just enough to feel safe — not enough to judge the whole person in advance.
At SingleDance, it is not “table 7, seven minutes, next question.” It is: you can swipe first, then a singles dance event where the first impression happens while you move.
1. Why classic blind dates get tiring
A restaurant blind date puts all the pressure in one place: two chairs, a silence, a plate. If it is off, the night is long. If it is on, you often only talked about work.
A lot of singles want the surprise — without the interview.
2. The SingleDance twist: blind, but on the dance floor
You can have a profile in the app. You can swipe. For a “blind” event, we limit what you see before you walk in: first name, age, intention — not the full file.
Then you dance. Chemistry shows up in energy, smile, rhythm. Talk comes after, not instead.
3. How the night actually works
- Create your SingleDance account.
- RSVP to the blind dating event.
- Show up solo — any dance level.
- Mixers / short dances / breaks to talk.
- If it clicks, keep the conversation in the app after.
Not required: dance skills or a group of friends.
4. The questions people ask before they book
“Will it be awkward? Can I come alone? Do I have to perform?”
Short answers: yes, come alone. No, it is not a contest. The goal is not to “win the date.” It is to meet two or three people in real life without scrolling their whole story first.
